We have an exciting position as Blasting Assistants to assist the team in general blasting related activities. You will work closely with an amazing team

Here’s an opportunity to join us as our Blasting Assistant. You will be responsible for the covering of blasting holes after filled with explosives with minimum damaging of shock tube. The cleaning of mining machinery, equipment & environment and the Safe and Healthy Work Environment, Equipment is operated according to prescribed procedures to minimize delays, financial losses & to prevent injuries, blasting area inspection is done for obstacles and safe conditions before commencing with covering of blasting holes.

Your role will require interactions across the Blasting team to ensure good housekeeping standards are maintained, equipment is cleaned with the appropriate tools and must be compliant to OSHAS and MHS Acts.

This role is in the Mining department at a Band 9 level reporting to the Blasting Supervisor.

You will need to have a Grade 12/N3 Qualification, a Valid Driver’s license and 2 years mining production experience will be advantageous.
