| Job Advert Summary | The successful incumbent will assist the welding section with maintenance, manufacturing and installation of structural equipment. To ensure that allocated plant is kept in a safe and reliable standard as required by Rand water. |
| Minimum Requirements | • Grade 12 or a complete N3 in welding • 5 years’ relevant experience in welding field • Sound Mechanical experience for welding proses • Completion of a recognized trade test as Welder will serve as an advantage. • A valid Code B driver’s license and ability to pass Rand Water’s K53 test. PRACTICAL EVALUATION WILL BE CONDUCTED WITH ALL SHORTLISTED CANDIDATES |
| Primary Duties | • Manufacture items as required. • Maintain of structural equipment. • Must be able to work independently with minimum supervision. • Perform routine maintenance schedules and technical tasks on plant and equipment as instructed. • Assist with fault finding and major breakdowns. • Fill job cards. • General housekeeping duties. |
| Knowledge | • Welding knowledge. • Safety knowledge and safe working procedures. • Knowledge of OHS Act and its process • Water Purification and treatment process • Operation of field management equipment |
