Position Purpose:
To manage and maintain a strategic and systematic approach to stakeholder engagement, stakeholder relationships and stakeholder reporting across Transnet in line with the mandate and policies of the Company on behalf of Group Corporate Affairs. The incumbent will ensure accurate accounting and reporting for the Group, within the guidelines of the stakeholder engagement policy.

Position outputs:
Develop and regularly review Transnet’s Stakeholder Engagement Framework, and Stakeholder Universe, in collaboration
with Corporate Centre functions, Operating Divisions and Specialist Units.
Develop and oversee the implementation of the Stakeholder Engagement Control Frameworks and Reporting Framework for
company-wide implementation.

Develop and implement tools to monitor the quality of Transnet’s relationships with its key stakeholders as well as assessing maturity of stakeholder engagement practices across the Company.
Manage the stakeholder reporting function for the Transnet Group and ensure utilization and compliance to defined reporting frameworks.
Develop and implement an Investor Relations strategy aligned that will facilitate strategic relationships and elevate the Transnet brand.
Identify and develop communication methods and strategies for optimal communication of the Transnet mandate to enhance broad recognition and understanding of the Company.
Monitor and advice Transnet on developments in legislation that may impact the Company, including new legislation or amendments to existing Acts and direct contributions to influence their development.
Ensure effective management and reporting of stakeholder engagement activities to EXCO and the Board and provide update on company-wide stakeholder engagement activities.
Drive Transnet’s stakeholder engagements with communities around Transnet operations.
Develop a needs assessment framework for communities where the company operates and draft a plan of actions for response by Transnet in partnership with Transnet Foundation, ESD and Strategy.
Develop and implement an effective transformation strategy to enable the organisation to meet its BBBEE targets and initiatives.
Provide leadership and direction to all team members and ensure harmonious day-to-day functionality of the department. Manage all contractual and budgetary obligations and requirements of the portfolio.
Manage personnel and administrative issues of the portfolio. Be responsible for signing-off all reports under the portfolio. Manage the effective control payment of suppliers on behalf of the portfolio. Ensure that all activities are executed in a timely manner and in accordance with requirements and specifications of the
organisation.

Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce /Humanities/Communication/Social Sciences or related field.
A minimum of 10 years relevant management stakeholder management and reporting in a large or complex organisation.
